We are registered as a safe contractor, safecontractor is the fastest growing health and safety accreditation scheme in the UK, with more than 210 major clients and over 20,000 contractor members.   Registered members with the Safecontractor Scheme include clients and contractors from a wide range of professional disciplines working within a number of industry sectors.   With its increasing membership and growing profile in the UK, the safecontractor scheme is now used by many large organisations as a way of obtaining competent contractors.

Established in 1999, our core work is the maintenance and refurbishment of mechanical handling machinery within the Brewing Malting, Food and Quarry industries.  We supply teams who are site based to run preventative maintenance tasks for our clients, as well as this we undertake refurbishment project, which range from service work to complete rebuilds of large mechanical machinery.   This work is backed up by our workshop facilities, which enable us to manufacture spare parts in house. Fabricate replacement components and re build motors gearboxes and hydraulic, pneumatic equipment.

In 2011 Mectek acquired the material handling division of Thurco Engineering , which consisted of all the machinery, drawings and skill set to manufacture screw conveyors and bucket elevators, which combined with our existing fabrication department allows Mectek to provide a full design and build facility for material handling projects and spare parts for existing machines.
